The first choice for Asher’s Halloween costume this year was Pennywise from It (which none of us has seen, not sure where the idea came from, but he was really set on it for some reason), but once we went to actually look for a costume he changed his mind when he saw this Scarecrow Jack at the store pretty quickly, thank goodness. He really liked the spooky mask that came with the costume and he was done looking through the rest, so off to the cashier we went to pay for it.
We did his costume photos after school on Halloween as we were walking home. The morning of he told me to make sure I don’t forget my camera because he wanted his pictures done at the “spooky” barn, but when we got there that afternoon he was not into it. So we kept going and half way home he decided he did want his photos done, but it was too late to head all the way back to the barn. As we kept walking I asked if he wanted to try the photos near the farm by our house since he was a “Scarecrow”, he agreed it would work and so we captured some images for him in some pretty light.
I hope everyone had an amazing evening trick or treating with their kids, we sure had a blast! This was the first year the kids lasted for a couple hours out there, and they collected way too much candy haha. Thank goodness for the Switch Witch, she took a whole lot of the candy away. What do you do to minimize the candy your kids bring in from Trick or Treating? Let me know in the comments below.
