A Historical Town and Tunnels | Yale & Othello Tunnels | Hope, BC Family Photographer

We had a lot of amazing little adventures over the summer. Our first little trip was to visit Yale and check out their Historical museum that was all about this tiny town during the Gold Rush Era. I took the kids, my nephew and my father-in-law.
There were artifacts and photos displayed in every inch of this little museum, filled with so much history.
Then when you go through it all you exit into a yard with more buildings and tents to explore. There was a church, blacksmith and even a little jail. And then there were tents that had “costumes” you could try, a safe you had to solve a puzzle to crack, a barber shop and even a bar with a piano to play. The kids had fun trying all these things out, and panning for gold at the end of it all.
When we were finished at Yale, on our drive home we stopped at the Othello Tunnels. My father-in-law was thoroughly impressed with how these tunnels were constructed. They are pretty amazing.
It was a day well spent exploring these beautiful places that aren’t too far from home.
