What a View | Mt. Hope Lookout | Hope, BC Family Photographer

What a hike, and what a view.
Took the kids and my nephew out for a hike to check out the Hope Lookout. It took us about an hour up, lots and lots of climbing, phew, and then we spent some time enjoying the gorgeous view of the city and climbing the rocks before we headed down. The way down was much quicker, mostly because of the steepness of the climb that we were almost running down most of the way.
It was our first time trying out this hike and I would definitely do it again. It wasn’t easy, lots of constant climbing, but the view at the top made it all worth it.
The majority of the hike was under tree cover, so even though it was a hot day we were only sweating from the climbing. At the top there was a bit of a breeze which felt nice after all that climbing, but we were glad we had brought some sweaters, after awhile up there it was chilly, especially in the shade.
The kids climbed around the rocks and explored while I soaked up the views.
