Willows, Rivers and Rainbows | Chilliwack Maternity Session | Chilliwack, BC Maternity Photographer
Krystal and I became acquainted when our girls were dancing together for a few years, doing Jazz, Tap and Ballet. I learned she was expecting baby number 3 and knew I had to get in contact with her to capture this beautiful woman and her beautiful family for a maternity session. She is stunning, with that red hair and the freckles, how could you not want to photograph such beauty.
We booked our date and I found us a couple beautiful locations to work with. We met on the Chilliwack side of town near a beautiful garden and then I had them follow me to our first location.
Her little guy wasn’t too keen on me trying to capture some beautiful memories for them, but it didn’t take too long for him to warm up. After being told he could get his picture taken just with his dad he was good to go and gave me the best smiles, such a cutie.
This location was full of beautiful Willow trees and the light from the sunset was peeking through all the willow branches so beautifully and giving us just the most perfect tones.
We finished with the Willow trees and headed across to the Sardis side of town to capture some images along the river. As we were heading to our spot I noticed a new mural that was started along the Vedder bridge round-a-bout that had beautiful rainbow colours, so when I met up with Krystal and her family at our second location I asked if she would be interested in stretching our session a tad longer to go see if we could snap some photos along that wall. Krystal thought it was a great idea, and since the little one growing was her rainbow baby it was perfect to end the session there.
The mural was still a work in progress when we did this session, I should take the time to head down there again and see what it looks like now.
It was such a pleasure capturing this beautiful family. If you’re expecting and are looking to have someone capture this precious time in your life, send me a message and let’s get in contact.
