A Little Walk and Some Maternity Photos | Ellwood Park | Abbotsford, BC Maternity Photographer

Dawn and I met a few years ago through a friend who was having a cake smash session for her daughter that was being photographed by Dawn. My friend came to me to create her a smash cake, which I did, and then from there Dawn and I became friends and I started creating all sorts of fun little smash cakes for all the little 1 year olds coming to her ready to smash some cake. There has been a lot of delicious cakes smashed between us over the years …. all that delicious cake, gone to pieces and devoured by babies haha.

We got in contact recently to document her and her family ready to welcome a new little member. I found us a nice little spot down at Ellwood Park in Abbotsford to capture them before the little one was ready to come Earth side. Ellwood Park stretches through the Discovery Trail, a nice easy little walk. We didn’t have to walk far to find some great little areas. The sun wasn’t being all too friendly that evening, but we did manage to capture it a few times during our session.

When the sun would peek through the clouds it gave us a beautiful glow, but when the clouds took over and the sun was gone, we got a beautiful soft light to work with and we were very happy with both. We walked and talked as I took their photos. Such a beautiful family so full of love!
