Why do I find it so hard to be consistent with blogging on here? It seems that as soon as I sit at the computer and get ready to write something, I always end up with a blank head and feeling like I have no idea what to start writing about. Anyone else get that way?

Now, about these creative sessions from the Unraveled Retreat in Utah. Firstly, working with a model was a bit intimidating but even going through the shoots nervous it was so much fun! Our model for the creative shoots was Zeyi Moise, she was such a pleasure to photograph, gorgeous, funny and easy going, she really made it easy to relax while it was our turn to take pictures.

Both creative sessions were hosted by Ace. Our first session had a fun cowgirl theme, white hat, white tassels, so much movement. Ace led the session showing us all how he works with a model, making magic of course, and then we each had a chance to take our photos. It was a little nerve wracking being told to start giving our model directions or we might get yelled at haha.

Our setting for these shoots was anything short of amazing, every day our skies showed off.

The second creative shoot was all on us, we had no idea what our set up was going to be. We all lined up and then had one minute each to get creative. We got to do two rounds of this timed shoot. The pressure of the time limit made us all sweat at first but dang was it fun! It was actually quite exciting to let go and not over think the process, just to go in and shoot while getting creative on the spot.

Writing about these sessions has a thought going through my head, maybe I should plan a little creative model shoot, hmmm.

I’ve been a part of Unraveled since it started up and it’s helped me grow as an artist in so many ways.
