Sunflowers in the Sun | Chilliwack Sunflower Festival | Chilliwack, BC Family Photographer

The day was way too hot to go and check out the Sunflower Festival, but we did anyway. Maybe next year we’ll go in the evening instead when it’s not so hot. The previous year it was gloomy and muddy, this year it was too hot, we’ll get it right one year.
I love sunflowers, and I will be planting the seeds we bought at the festival in our yard, hopefully they take well to our soil because I’m excited to have some mammoths growing between my cedar trees in the garden, along with a small pumpkin patch. Maybe I’ll develop a green thumb and my garden plans will work out well.
If you live in the Fraser Valley, you should really check out the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival if you haven’t yet, it’s worth it, if you love sunflowers like I do.
The above photo depicts how we felt by the time we were finished checking everything out at the festival, overheated and exhausted from trying to stay shaded and cool. Sad sunflower haha!
