Birthday Weekend Fun | Seattle, WA Family Photographer

For my birthday (and Mother’s Day, because it fell on the same day this year), I told my family that we are going to Seattle, that’s what I wanted to do. We made a weekend out of it and left on Friday. Our first stop on the way down was Everett, to check out the Funko Pop HQ. We picked up a few new collectibles and headed towards Seattle.
I really enjoyed this mini trip. I’ve wanted to go down to Seattle for awhile, I’m glad we finally went. We explored downtown, Pike Place market, had delicious food, and of course I took a bunch of photos.
We did a round trip on the the monorail, walked around near the space needle, checked out the Chihuly Glass and Garden, it was very cool, and Kazia had her caricature drawn. We also did the Ferris Wheel, found Golden Age Collectibles where the kids and hubby found new additions to our collections and the Gum wall …. so weird and gross, but also so cool haha.
I tried a few street photography shots here and there, played with some light and shadows, and lots of reflections too, there was a lot of glass around to play with reflections! And on our last evening Kazia and I ran down to the Pike Place Market area to grab a few shots of the sunset, we made it just in time to see some stunning colours in the sky.
