Evening sessions don’t always work for everyone. Sunset is usually past a young child’s bedtime and a lot of times that means a tired and uncooperative little one, not a great combination when you’re trying to capture photos of your family. But during the Autumn months, sunrise isn’t super early and it can be a beautiful alternative to that sunset light.

This adorable family knew a sunset session wouldn’t work for their little one, so we set a date for a morning sunrise session, and even though the sun was playing peek-a-boo with the clouds we did get some beautiful light coming in every so often throughout the session.

They are expecting their second little nugget, adding more adorable to this trio.

We started our session with family photos, and then when the little guy was more interested in exploring and playing, I started capturing this beautiful couple. Once we were done getting mom and dad solo shots, little man was ready for a few more shots before we finished our session. He is so adorable, I can’t wait to meet baby number 2, they’re going to be an adorable little duo.
