A beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon in May, a great day to celebrate this handsome little gentleman having his First Communion.  

It was such a warm day, everyone was sweating by the end of our session, but they were all so great and we got through it all with smiles on our faces. Well, young David here was a tough one to crack, I must say, he was being pretty serious when the camera was out, but we did get some great shots of his awesome smile.

Last year I photographed big sister's First Communion and was so happy and honoured to be asked to capture these memories of David's First Communion for this beautiful family.

I was so happy we had lots of open shade to shoot in since we were taking these pictures at noon, it kept us a little bit cooler throughout the process.  The willow and blossom trees were so beautiful.  And bonus, we found a nice part of the park that had a great view of the mountains.
