Well the rest of December got super busy and then those days between Christmas and New Year’s were pretty much a blur, as per usual, it’s that week you just can’t remember what day it actually is. This blog post was supposed to fit into the end of 2023 but here we are 10 days into 2024 already. But it’s ok, because now you get to enjoy these beautiful end of autumn colours one more time.

Squeezing in sessions at the end of the year can be tricky with our Fraser Valley weather, it can change at least 3 times in one day. We had to reschedule this session the weekend prior due to a big rainfall that started minutes before we were about to meet up but we lucked out with a dry week afterwards. It was a cold afternoon but this family did so great and braved it through the whole session without any complaints. We decided to wander around the Great Blue Heron Reserve, a bit of colour was still hanging on for us.

There had to be lots of close snuggling during the session to keep everyone warmed up. We moved around and tried not to stop in one spot for too long so that wind chill wouldn’t get to be too much, don’t be fooled by that sunshine!

I always do my best to capture the connection families have with each other, so if you’re close and snuggly, get in close and cuddle. But if your family isn’t into all the closeness well then we will still make the session fit your family’s personality. It’s not about having each session be the same, it’s about the photos that will show off who your family is at that time, so let’s connect and get those images for you. Hang them on your walls, display them with pride knowing we captured who your family is. Print those albums and make it a coffee table book that everyone will love going through. These are memories you will cherish well into the future.
