Mom's 60th Surprise Party! | Family | Surrey | Chilliwack, BC Family Photographer

Planning a surprise party is nerve wrecking and hard haha! I’m glad my siblings and I were able to put everything together and coordinate to plan out our theme, food and to manage a date that worked to have everyone come out and celebrate our mom. It was all worth the work and planning, she had no idea we what we had planned for her.
It was a big birthday, so of course we had to go big. We set up in the amenities room of their building, decorated with lots of balloons and lots of black and gold decorations. And I’m a pro at using my nifty new little balloon pump now, which was totally worth the purchase by the way!
One of the funniest starts to a surprise party I think, we all thought mom would never come into the room. She never has a need to go into their amenities room so when her husband was encouraging her to go inside when we were all ready to go with the surprise, it took at good 2 to 3 minutes before she finally came inside. She was so confused as to why she needed to go inside.
Once we were able to yell surprise and wish her a happy birthday, we then got started with the party and ate delicious Greek food, had cake and the kids played some games. Everyone got a chance to catch up and chat, it was a nice evening and I’m glad we were able to get everyone together.
I made sure to snap a photo of all the grand kids with mom, it was a little hectic but we got a bunch of fun shots of them all together. And we also made sure to get a photo of mom with my two siblings and myself.
Do you like planning big parties?
